Marchand ousts Sawyer

The Votes are in and we will see a new face on the Blackstone Board of Selectmen. Joe Marchand and Margo Bik have been elected to the board. Long time Selectman and current chairman Charles Sawyer has been defeated.

Diane Warren has won her battle for re-election as the Treasurer/Collector.

New Faces, same old habits

Its great that finally the people of Blackstone woke up. Now if they can only keep it going to next election year. With the new powers to be at the helm, you will see that change is not about to happen. Congrats to Selectman Marchand for defeating one of the ringmasters. Maybee now those other selectmen who think they are untouchable just might have a shadow of doubt. Blackstone deserves better than what we have now. Lets fix it people, one at a time.

New Faces, Same Old Politics

Just because we got rid of one of the good old boys dont think for one minute that the same old deals are not going to be made. Auntie Connie and the abstain from voting because I dont have enough information vice chair will be back at it soon enough. The board needs a good old fasioned cleaning. Good luck to Joe, if he thinks he can make a differance he will surely see that he will be slapped down when an idea for change is attempted.
